In my childhood, there were no kitty cats and rainbows. Early life was very very difficult, which made me very very difficult. I learned of struggle and coping at a young age, and both pursued me relentlessly.

After a cool chat with my author/publisher friend, Jason Eaglespeaker, I realized the importance of sharing my stories with the world, through books. “Amy” is my very first attempt. I have to admit, it makes me feel a tiny bit exposed. Today, my life is blessed, not even my close friends know about what I’ve endured.

In telling this story, I realized that my message of overcoming struggle is much bigger than just one book, many more are on the horizon.
